DESCRIPTION:This year’s theme — Connect\, Move\, Grow — reflects the core work of HPE educators in building inclusive communities\, delivering purposeful movement experiences\, and supporting wellbeing\, leadership\, and professional growth. \nConnect explores how we create safe\, supportive\, and student-centred learning environments. Sessions in this stream will focus on building respectful relationships\, embedding social and emotional learning\, amplifying student voice\, and strengthening partnerships with families\, communities\, and whole-school initiatives. \nMove highlights innovative practices in physical education and movement-based learning. Expect practical ideas that maximise participation\, skill development\, and engagement through Game Sense\, the TREE model\, inclusive approaches\, and digital tools that enhance motivation and feedback. \nGrow focuses on leadership\, curriculum design\, and teacher development. Sessions will unpack strategies for leading change\, designing effective assessment and learning sequences\, and supporting both student and teacher wellbeing. There will also be opportunities to explore professional identity\, mentoring\, and career pathways in the broader health and education sectors. \nSessions will be available across all levels — Foundation to Year 10 and Senior Secondary (VCE PE\, HHD\, OES\, and VET Sport and Recreation) — with practical workshops and classroom-ready ideas connected to key Victorian Curriculum focus areas such as: \n\n\nFundamental Movement Skills (FMS) \n\n\nGames and Sports (GS) \n\n\nRelationships and Sexuality (RS) \n\n\nMental Health and Wellbeing (MH) \n\n\nChallenge and Adventure (CA) \n\n\nFood and Nutrition (FN) \n\n\nSafety\, Inclusion\, and Assessment \n\n\nLifelong Physical Activities (LLPA) \n\n\nTechnology and Digital Tools in HPE \n\n\nWhether you’re looking to refresh your practice\, share your story\, or collaborate with others\, the State Conference is the place to connect\, move\, and grow alongside a passionate community of HPE educators.
