ACHPER Victoria 2018 Conference: Supporter and exhibitor profiles

We’d like to take this opportunity to profile our outstanding #ACHPERVIC18 conference supporters and sponsors and provide you with our finalised list of exhibition partners.

ACHPER Victoria Annual Partners

Victorian Government

We would like to acknowledge the support of the Victoria State Government, in particular, the Department of Education and Training, and the Department of Health and Human Services/Sport & Recreation.

In Education and Training, the Department leads the delivery of education and development services to children, young people and adults both directly through government schools and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services, non-government schools and training programs.

In Sport & Recreation, the Department strives to achieve the best possible health, wellbeing and social outcomes for all Victorians through participation in sport and recreation.

RHSports

RHSports has been helping customers with wholesale sporting equipment and apparel solutions for over 35 years. Formerly known as Ross Haywood Sports, they are continually introducing innovative and customised products to their range. The RHSports team work hard to provide high quality, price competitive products which withstand the rigorous use of school and club environments.

Visit the RHSports stall in the conference exhibition gallery to have a chat and take advantage of special conference only offers.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

The TAC pays benefits to people injured in transport accidents. Working closely with Victoria Police and Vic Roads, the TAC also develops groundbreaking road safety campaigns that increase awareness of issues, change behaviour and reduce the incidence of road trauma. Together with other road safety agencies, the TAC developed the ‘Towards Zero’ strategy to create a future where no lives are lost on our roads and every journey is a safe one. To achieve this vision, the community needs to understand how we can make this goal a reality.

The TAC will also have an exhibition stall at the conference. Pay them a visit to talk more about how you can get your students involved in the Road To Zero campaign.

Victoria University (VU)

VU’s outstanding reputation in sport, exercise science and active living is underpinned by a long tradition of extensive course offerings, major research, international partnerships, state-of-the-art facilities and expert academic staff from around the world. This has led VU to be ranked 12th in the world for Sport Science.

VU offers over 40 sports-related courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education (TAFE) levels, including health, physical education and sport and recreation. It has affiliations with over 350 sporting bodies and undertakes high quality research which has a significant impact resolving the challenges of the sporting industry, locally, nationally and globally.

Don’t miss your chance to chat with VU representatives at their conference exhibition stall!

Tennis Australia

Tennis Australia delivers programs and workshops to help Primary and Secondary teachers get their students out of the classroom and onto the tennis court. It’s programs and initiatives focus on the delivery of tennis in an environment which supports maximum participation and caters to student’s developmental readiness and individual needs, helping promote and encourage lifelong physical activity and health.

Tennis Australia will also have a stall in the conference exhibition gallery. Pop in to say hello and learn more about how to use tennis to teach students valuable life skills in a fun and encouraging environment.

Conference sponsors

School Sport Victoria

School Sport Victoria (SSV) supports teachers in the delivery of physical and sport education programs, providing sporting opportunities for Victorian school students. SSV actively promotes school sport for all Victorian school students as a means of supporting school programs in developing their students’ health and wellbeing.

The SSV team will have a stall at the conference, so drop in to learn more about the programs and support they provide for PE teachers.
