Gillian Manson | Chief Executive Officer
Gillian Manson has an extensive background as a consultant in change management and workplace environments, and is supported in her role by GM – Consulting and GM – Services to uphold our values, effectively engage our stakeholders, and continue to drive our organisational strategy into the future. Gillian has played a significant role in leading organisational growth and driving national change initiatives, with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and building sustainable systems that strengthen impact across the education, health, and sport sectors.
Greg Schneiders | General Manager, Consulting
Greg’s career extends from being a leading HPE teacher, University Lecturer, Head of Department and Director of Sport in some of Australia’s leading schools and universities. A leader of people and teams, Greg has held many positions of responsibility, including teaching and oversight of multiple schools’ Health and Physical Education teams and numerous co-curricular sporting departments. In recent years, he has also been a university lecturer, at both undergraduate and master level programs, with a particular focus on curriculum, teaching pedagogy and practice within the Health and Physical Education domains.
Jason Doherty | General Manager, Services
With a strong background in early childhood education and a recently completed Masters in Education, Jason is deeply committed to empowering educators, families, and communities. His expertise in leading high-performing teams and driving impactful programs will be invaluable as we continue to support the health, physical education, and sport sectors.
Jason’s deep relationships in the sporting sector will further strengthen the organisation’s ability to connect movement, learning, and community engagement as we grow our national presence.
Our Delivery Team
Jodie Spedding – Project Manager
Jodie brings over 17 years of experience in teaching, curriculum design, and leading programs in physical education, wellbeing, and outdoor learning. With a passion for fostering innovation and inclusion, she has dedicated her career to creating impactful and engaging learning experiences across education, health, and sport. As a Project Manager in the Consulting Team, Jodie works with organisations to develop evidence-based solutions, create meaningful school-to-community pathways, and promote participation, equity, and diversity.
Andy Hair – National Education Lead, F-10
With a dynamic and energetic presence, Andy has dedicated 30 years to educating globally, fostering personal growth through a love for movement. Committed to empowering others to excel, Andy lives by the mantra ‘DREAM, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE’. In 2021, Andy first joined ACHPER Victoria to work with the Active Schools Project after a diverse career in government, independent and university education, as well as global education providers. Andy is working on new resource creation, delivering in-school workshops and connecting with ACHPER Victoria members.
Sean de Morton – National Education Lead, F-10
Sean is an experienced Health and Physical Education educator across primary and secondary settings, with a strong focus on curriculum, teacher support, and professional learning. He is passionate about whole-school approaches that strengthen connection and active wellbeing, and is a dynamic presenter with international experience.
Sean leads quality assurance across resources and services through the Quality Council and is instrumental in developing Active Central and Anywhere PD, supporting teachers through flexible, digital, and contemporary approaches to professional learning.
Jenna Ward – National Education Lead, Senior Secondary
As National Education Lead, Jenna works alongside Health, PE, and Outdoor Education teachers across the country, leading the development in the senior secondary space of quality curriculum-aligned resources that support educators and senior students to achieve their best outcomes. Jenna brings extensive experience through her years of teaching and leadership in schools from ELC–12. She coached sport from grassroots to international, and understands how physical activity can be a powerful driver of student confidence and growth. She is passionate about supporting teachers for best practice, through the evolving landscape of education.
Ann-Maree Dell’Orso – VCE Resource Coordinator
Ann-Maree has taught in secondary education for over 11 years, with experience across multiple schools including Parade, Canola, and currently Caulfield. She has specialised in VCE Physical Education, teaching Units 1–4 since 2014, and brings deep insight into curriculum delivery. Ann-Maree is a dynamic and engaging presenter who has supported teachers through professional learning workshops and resource development, helping to strengthen implementation of the VCE® PE study across the state.
Julia Davis – Customer and Office Manager
Julia has over 20 years of experience in office management and 13 years within the education sector. Julia is your first port of call and will help with all initial enquiries ensuring our members receive the absolute best service. Julia is passionate and committed and provides integral support to the organisation.
Kim Tamas – Marketing & Partnerships Manager
Kim leads the organisation’s marketing, communications, and partnership initiatives, supporting national growth, member engagement, sponsorships, and digital communications. With a strong background in strategic marketing and stakeholder engagement, Kim works closely with partners, internal stakeholders and industry organisations to strengthen brand visibility and build meaningful connections.
Taryn Gater – Events Manager
Taryn brings extensive experience in event management and oversees the planning and delivery of workshops, conferences, and national events across the organisation. Passionate about creating engaging and high-quality experiences, Taryn works closely with presenters, partners, and schools to deliver impactful professional learning opportunities across metro and regional communities.
