The Little Desert Podcast Project is a podcast series on the 1960’s historic movement to protect the Little Desert National Park produced by the Victorian National Parks Association, with support from Parks Victoria.

Learn all about the foundational role of the Victorian community’s environmental campaign to protect the Little Desert National Park in Victoria during the 1960s in this exciting new four part podcast series.

Through hearing from people involved in the campaign at the time and current day experts, students and other listeners will develop an understanding of the strong 1960s community campaign in Victoria that led to the creation of the Little Desert National Park and its lasting impact on Victorian politics.

They will also learn about the importance of the Little Desert’s broader ecology and current management challenges, Traditional Custodians’ approach to land management and looking after the Little Desert today.
