Love the game, not the odds – School Education Program

This article is a paid contribution to from Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation (VRGF).

Did you know 74% of Victorian adults think young people are exposed to too much gambling advertising?

Never before has gambling been so heavily promoted and accessible, especially through sport. Excessive sports betting promotion may lead someone to believe that gambling is normal, and that sport is all about the odds, not the game. When something feels normal, it doesn’t seem risky.

Drawing on the latest research, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation‘s (VGRF) FREE program supports secondary school communities to help students develop informed attitudes to gambling.

The School Education Program offers:

•  Free face-to-face information sessions for teachers, parents and students throughout Victoria
•  Units of work to incorporate in your curriculum plans across a variety of subject areas
•  Useful resources for parents
