Road Safety in Secondary Schools Consultation Meeting for principals, leaders and teachers

The Victorian Government, through the new Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030, is committed to the ambitious target of eliminating death and serious injury from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. The Strategy will be implemented through a series of short-term action plans.

One of the key actions in the state’s first Road Safety Action Plan 2021-2023, is to develop a new strategic approach to delivering best practice education programs for children, young people, families, and the general community to prevent road trauma.

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is leading the road safety education component on behalf of the Government. As part of the planning process TAC are keen to understand the perspectives of secondary school principals, leaders and teachers to enlist their help to shape the new approach.

If you are keen to be involved, we would like to invite you to attend a two hour Road Safety in Secondary Schools Consultation Meeting in the upcoming school holidays.
