To celebrate 2022 HPE Day, on Wednesday 7 September the ACHPER Victoria Team and La Trobe Sports program staff and partners welcomed local primary school students to La Trobe Sports Stadium to enjoy a morning of movement and physical activity.
Students and staff were brought together to experience the activation of sports and recreation available in their local community, helping celebrate the ongoing theme of HPE Day – “Good for Children, Good for Schools and Good for Communities”.
We’d like to sincerely thank the valued partners of ACHPER Victoria and partners of La Trobe Sport for being a part of this activation and spreading the enjoyment of movement and participation to local students:
Remember, schools and teachers play an ongoing and critical role in teaching Australian children the benefits of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
Along with parents, the community and government, we can help increase daily physical activity by ensuring quality HPE is being delivered into our primary and secondary schools, and encouraging lifelong habits outside of school.
