With less than one month to go, we’re counting down the days and getting excited about our Annual HPE Conference coming up from 21-22 November at Monash University, Clayton Campus.
Our 2024 conference theme ‘Discover, Create, Innovate’ is call to action for our health and physical education (HPE) teaching community, to come together over the two days and develop their educator’s toolkit with inspirational ideas for teaching in a changing landscape.
With major changes to Victorian Curriculum on their way, a strong focus of this year’s conference is preparing everyone for Victorian Curriculum 2.0 updates and new study designs for VCE PE and HHD.
This year’s conference is set to be bigger and better than ever with new presenters and familiar faces sharing their knowledge, new ideas and approaches with our teachers. We’re thrilled to bring you these opportunities at the largest HPE teaching and professional learning event of its kind.
Running concurrently with our traditional program, in 2024 we’re proud to offer two new expanded streams designed to help teachers and the broader sporting community (including NSOs and SSAs) discover innovative and creative ways to impact the way we teach into the future.
Our expanded streams cover sessions to support curriculum, moving to learn, healthy bodies and minds, engage and elevate sport, sports tech, inclusion and leadership.
Traditional core streams provide a wide range of sessions to discover new ways to enhance your teaching practice and get creative as you continue the learnings within your school environment. Over the two days, the Discovery streams on offer are:
Our Innovation streams are an expanded offering to support the curriculum-based streams to suit specialised industry needs. These sessions are specifically designed for SSA, NSO, industry professionals in the HPE and wider sporting sector with tailored content that fosters growth, leadership, and innovation. These expanded offerings will help you stay ahead of industry trends and elevate your professional impact in the following areas:
