Announcing Active Education Australia’s 2025 Board of Directors

At our 39th Annual General Meeting held in May, we were delighted to welcome three new Board Directors: Pierre Comis, Brendan Bailey, and Kate Simkovic. Each brings a wealth of experience, fresh perspectives, and a shared passion for advancing our mission.

We are also pleased to announce our new leadership appointments for 2025.

Pam Macdonald, our newly appointed President, brings over two decades of experience at both Board and senior executive level across diverse industries and sectors. With a clear focus on people, performance, and training, Pam is known for her practical, engaging approach and her passion for bringing out the best in others. An experienced and respected trainer, coach, and facilitator with strong HR and project management skills, Pam will guide the Board’s strategic direction with energy and purpose.

Gen Dohrmann will serve as Deputy President, continuing her impactful work in sports leadership and community engagement. As CEO of Table Tennis Victoria, Gen has led initiatives to govern, promote, and improve the sport across the state. With strong skills in marketing, communication, commercial development, digital strategy, and event management, Gen’s leadership extends beyond the sporting arena, having served on national and global boards, including three years as President of the Women Sport Australia Board.

Together with our continuing Directors, this dynamic team will lead us into another exciting year, committed to strengthening our programs, building partnerships, and creating positive outcomes for our members and the communities we serve.
