Introducing MOVE Victoria 2026

For many educators, the ACHPER Victoria State Conference has long been a highlight of the professional learning calendar – a place where teachers connect, share ideas, and leave inspired to create more active, engaging learning environments for their students.

In 2026, that legacy continues with a new name.

Evolving from the much-loved ACHPER Victoria State Conference, we’re excited to introduce MOVE Victoria, the annual conference proudly delivered by Active Education Australia.

While the name is changing, the heart of the conference remains the same. MOVE Victoria continues the tradition of bringing together educators, leaders, wellbeing practitioners, sport organisations and community partners who believe in the power of movement to shape healthier, more inclusive communities.

This year’s theme, Leading Active Futures: Thriving Through Movement, recognises the powerful role that Health and Physical Education, active learning and purposeful movement play in helping students – and school communities thrive.

Across the conference, participants will explore practical teaching strategies, innovative programs, research insights and collaborative partnerships that strengthen inclusion, deepen engagement and support wellbeing in schools and communities.

MOVE Victoria will continue to be the place where the HPE community comes together to share ideas, celebrate great practice and shape the future of active education.

So while the name is new, the spirit remains familiar.

The conference you know is still here – it’s simply MOVING forward with one important change to the days of the week… the conference will now run over a Wednesday and Thursday (25-26 November).

We look forward to welcoming you to MOVE Victoria 2026. Here’s a few highlights and how you can be involved as a delegate, presenter or exhibitor!

Introducing keynote speaker, Rana Hussain

We’re thrilled to introduce our conference will be officially opened by Keynote Speaker Rana Hussain. Rana is the Founder of Good. Human, which helps people and organisations build cultures of belonging across self, team, and system. Rana honed her skills in elite sport and now works across the corporate, not-for-profit, and arts sectors, bringing the lessons of high-performance culture to diverse environments. She was the first Muslim woman appointed to a national sporting board and today serves on the boards of Welcoming Australia, Reconciliation Australia, and Basketball Australia.

A sought-after speaker, facilitator, and broadcaster, Rana is driven by the recognition that belonging is a core human need to thrive -and the key to lasting cultural change.

We are very privileged to welcome Rana to help us launch MOVE 2026 and to share her insights into belonging, inclusion, and culture change.
