Hear from triple Olympian David Morris at ACHPER Victoria’s night of nights
We invite you to join us on 18 March 2020 as we celebrate the outstanding contributions of Tertiary students and Teachers to health and physical education (HPE) in 2019 at our ACHPER Victoria Awards night and AGM.
These awards are significant as they help highlight the important learning area of HPE which focuses on helping students enhance their own and others’ health, safety, wellbeing and physical activity to the broader community.
With support from our event sponsor and Annual Partner TAC, this year’s event will be held at the magnificent ‘Treetops Room’ at Melbourne Museum with a tour of TAC’s ‘Road to Zero‘ experience to commence the evening.
Our guest of honour and keynote speaker for the evening will be triple Olympian, David Morris! David made history at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games when he became Australia’s first male to win an Olympic aerials medal. Having made the four-man super final, Morris landed an incredible quad twisting somersault to score 110.41 and take home the silver medal behind Anton Kushnir from Belarus.
We’re excited to be inspired by David’s journey of perseverance, breaking boundaries and seizing opportunity.
