New #TipOfTheWeekHPE videos to help HPE teachers teach!

Each week of the Victorian school term, we develop a ‘Tip of the Week’ designed to help teachers teach and students learn by sharing innovative concepts, teaching and learning practices and strategies, games and activity ideas, tools and suggestions to help with planning and assessment and more.

Traditionally, these tips have been presented in downloadable PDF document format, sent via direct email and across social media.

Our process is constantly evolving, and we are excited to announce that in 2019, in addition to downloadable documents, we will also be trialing presenting our tips in video format.

Check out the first video in the series, #TipOfTheWeekHPE No.58: Models-based Practices (MBP). In this video, ACHPER Victoria PL Coordinator, Dr Trent Brown explores the variety of instructional styles and diversity that exists in teaching Physical Education using MBP.

If you’d like to learn more about this topic, sign up for Trent’s elective session B08 at our upcoming Secondary / VCE® HPE Conference on Friday 21 June!

Trent will be unpacking MBP from curriculum, pedagogical and assessment perspectives to show teachers exemplars of contemporary practice that are in line with high impact teaching strategies (HITS).
