Our Story

Formerly ACHPER Victoria – Now National, Independent, and Evolving

We’ve changed our name -but not our passion. After decades of supporting Victorian teachers as ACHPER Victoria, we’re now stepping forward as Active Education Australia: an independent, national organisation committed to empowering the health, physical education (HPE), sport, and recreation communities across the country.

This change marks an exciting new chapter—one where we can respond more flexibly, inclusively, and impactfully to the needs of educators Australia-wide.

Our Purpose

We exist to help all Australians lead active, healthy lives.

We do this by championing quality health, physical education, and physical activity for all students—from Foundation to Year 12—so that every learner can thrive in body and mind.
